The Good Nature Episode 2: Redefining The Mother / Oaxacan Plant Medicine & Supporting Queer Perspectives in Herbalism

Jesse Garcia is a traditional Mexican herbalist and educator. He brings a much needed multifaceted voice in herbalism world and even within the tradition of shamanism as an advocate for non-binary understandings of our connection with the plant world, and one another. Jesse has weaved together a personal practice that draws upon his innate callings. From a lineage of Oaxacan shamans, Jesse considers his work to be one of ongoing connection with his ancestry. In addition to herbalism, his practice centers around energy work focused on community healing. Jesse sees his work as a much deeper calling and is driven to make a lasting positive impact within his broader community. He is currently working to launch a non-profit School of Energetic Herbalism. Jesse embodies his wealth of knowledge and insatiable desire to understand the subtle energetics of plants. He has completed a Oaxacan Curandera training and is currently seeking individuals to help him manifest this vision of herbal education for everyone.
