UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev defended his title against UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 284, and seems to have locked in his spot as the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the sport.  It was a pretty solid night of fights, and we discuss all of the results in the first half of this week's show.
Then in the second half of the show we run down the week in MMA news, including more MMA legends boxing, more bad news for Power Slap, recent changes to UFC fighter contracts, and the upcoming UFC Fight Night: Andrade vs. Blanchfield card.
Finally, in our Hammer History segment we look back 500 episodes to March 2013, and our coverage at the time of Georges St-Pierre vs. Nick Diaz, including interviews with St-Pierre, Johnny Hendricks, and Matt Hughes.
