Jason started doing SEO and consulting work in 2019 while working a day job. At this point in Jason’s life, SEO was just a side hustle, with no intention of going full-time for a while. Jason got his master’s degree in psychology, and after working for a bit, he did not want to listen to people’s problems all day.

A Masters in psychology helped Jason Eland grow his SEO because he was able to see things and understand people and traffic better than some of his competitors. Eventually, Jason jumped ship, quit the day job and went full-time!

This was a very timely episode for me because over the last 2 years, I have been posting blog posts pretty blindly, without any keyword research or “putting the time up front”. Jason has allowed me to rethink my thoughts and views on SEO and keyword research in general.
