Heartbreaking
Best show ever, and it broke my heart when it ended.
So sad for the pause
Hey guys, I totally understand the need to take a break after hundreds of episodes. Not gonna lie to you though, you will be missed. I look forward to each episode. I hope you’re all able to engage in activities and pursuits that refresh and rejuvenate during this break from the How-to-Heretic podcast. It’s been quite a year for everyone. You’re wise to hit pause for awhile.
They say comedy is tragedy plus time
And thanks to this podcast I finally find myself laughing at my past in a cult instead of feeling overwhelmed by anger and shame. When cracks started appearing in the paradigm I’d been raised and steeped in since birth I felt as though someone had kicked a chair out from under me. The more I scrabbled in the dirt of the history my church, digging for the truth, the angrier and more despondent I became. Everything I’d been brainwashed to believe was laughable; the emperor had no clothes.
And thanks to the Audio Uncles I feel seen and heard. I feel reassured that there really is a life on the outside and that a better future can be built. Together we listeners can have the cathartic experience of laughing at the emperor’s bottom hanging out for all to see.
