My favourite podcast! Real, funny and educational. #wearethegoodguys

Great story, unfortunately brutal podcast

So I don’t feel “good” or proud to give this one star given Jody’s sacrifice, but feel it’s a necessity to maybe spare someone the pain of listening to an episode.
I’m a dedicated listener of the Jocko podcast, and a huge fan of his books and mentality. As such, I heard Jody on there all 3 times. The first was a mostly well-told story, the second was a painful account of him bragging about being “Jody the Party”, and the third was almost an embarrassment to serving members of the Canadian military as he proudly boasted about the copious amount of cocaine he used to do (while in uniform as well). I don’t say that lightly but it pained me to listen to several portions.
Comparisons of “the grinder” to st Jean and an RCR parade square to hallowed SASR ground made a van full of dudes face palm and led one to stop the podcast (I finished it on my own time).
Before writing this I decided to listen to one episode. I chose one at random and although almost quitting at the ads, stuck with it long enough to hear reserve MPs in Toronto speak of experiences as gunfighters.
What I perceived as the arrogance and lack of humility that came from the host persisted and I shut it off at 15 mins.
Good luck with your new plans, all the best.
Again, I’ve been thinking of deleting this every line I write but would feel like more of a coward for leaving one star without explanation.
