Leo Cheung interviewed by Mel Green (CBC Journalist) - My Personal Story of Burnout and Revival

Leo Cheung interviewed by Mel Green (CBC Journalist) - My Personal Story of Burnout and Revival

At a local coffee shop, Mel Green, a CBC Journalist, interviewed me about my past years process of leaving the yoga industry for her research on burnout in the service/therapy professions. I talk openly, for the first time, the causes of burnout and the turmoil that comes from not having a sense of purpose, a job becoming routine, and what I did to try to dig myself out of this hole. I share the many ways in which I was disillusioned and how it made it difficult to leave my job as a teacher, and all of the fears that came with doing it. I give my insights, post-teaching, of what I learned about myself and why burnout/resentment/apathy in a job exists.

Yoga Lifestyle

I'm new to yoga, and after listening to the show with Matthew, I got a huge look into the culture of Yoga. I also have so much of a better understanding of the Yoga Lifestyle. When I first started, I thought it was just exercise. Now I understand there's a lot more to it. And the guests are all so well spoken! Love it.
