Have you ever seen a movie so bad that you decide you had to show all your friends and loved ones so they can experience the same negative experience that you have suffered through. Comedians JP Fournier and Shawn Gramiak have taken sharing cinematic nasties to a whole new level. Each week they and their guest choose a movie for the other to watch, exploring the dark, scary, confusing, and sometimes pathetic world of bad movies. They are The Movie Jerks.
Episode 227 - The Greasy Strangler and Citizen Kane
Playing off the Oscar Buzz we analyze two iconic films that changed movie making as we know it, Citizen Kane and... what? Really? The Greasy Strangler? What ever. At least we have Liam Leroux back.
Episode 226 - 50 Shades Darker and Stacey Brotzel
Stacey Brotzel (CTV) has returned once again in what may be a tradition of watching the "50 Shades" film. To balance our mood and demeanor we went to Tasty Tom's for breakfast. Good food helps to digest one terrible film.
Episode 225 - Practical Magic and the VVitch
Matt Lisac was kind enough to ask us to watch "Practical Magic". Mistaken that as a kind gesture, we asked him in return to watch "The VVitch". We still like Matt, but damn was his pic sinister.
Episode 224 - TImeless Romances with Murray Utas, Megan Dart, and Amber Alexander
We have a jam packed episode with guests, Murray Utas, Megan Dart, and Amber Alexander joining us to talk about 5 timeless romances that are still as relevant today, as the day they were released. We also hear about the Chinook Series, combining three amazing festivals (Expanse, Canoe, and The Fringe) into one amazing series. Plus you get to hear it here on the Movie Jerks first, the debut of Klusterfunk's new single "Bad Feeling's".
All meat, no filler. Great movie podcast. Funny hosts, good guests.
this podcast makes me laugh, these guys know a poopload about movies and one of them really is a jerk. but together, they make great podcasts. i also can't fathom sitting through howard the duck in the 21st century, these guys are dedicated to movie culture!
A must hear podcast...here!
A friend of mine in southern California told me about these two guys in Edmonton,AB Canada that do this Movie Jerks Podcast. I was sceptical because it had the word Jerks in the title and I don't do well with Jerks but I gave it a try. And they are so knowledgeable about what they speak about they and they are hilarious they way they work together and with their guests they have great chemistry. I just downloaded every episode and their theme song/intro's are hilarious, listen to them you won't regret it. Unless you have a fear of voices then you'll regre it, otherwise you'll be fine.
