5.18: Juno Steel and the Terrible Waste (Part 1)

Out in the furthest reaches of the Milky Way float piles of things best left forgotten: trash, refuse, the runoff and leftovers of a society that wants too much and produces too much. What better place, then, to put an impossible dream: that dead bodies, what we leave behind when we eventually exit life, might start to walk and talk and love again?
The Dokana group has chosen one of these trashteroids as their place to dream this dream. But be careful: it doesn't take much for a dream to become a nightmare.

    5.16: Second Citadel--The Indomitable Duelist (Part 2)

For centuries, the Senate of the Northern Wilds has convened to discuss all the largest issues surrounding the Second Citadel... or the largest monster issues, at any rate. Today's debate: what is to be done with these two nosy humans who have stumbled into their most recent meeting, at a place where great power slumbers nearby.

So good

As of writing this I’m about to finish season 3 of Juno Steel. This writing is fantastic, and it’s probably some of the best I’ve read/heard. I’m obsessed with this show and the people behind it, and I can only say praises for this. The queer rep, the story, all just so fantastic. I’ve never had a show keep me on the edge of my seat more than this. I can’t wait for what’s in store

Edit: I caught up (S5E19) and I stand by my previous words. Give me more sad men/women, penumbra

The story that keeps evolving

Im only nearing the end of season 2 but this show has been a light in the darkness. Season 1 was a darker in my opinion, but season 2 sheds light. Character start to change, they evolve, they challenge their own assumptions, and you can see that, despite all the negativity and the challenges of the world they live in there is still hope. Their preconceptions are challenged and shifted. Their internal struggles continue, but in a different light. They change from hopeless characters, whom do you think are a simple stereotype of such characters into more complex more rounded believable people. People whom you wish to succeed. People whom you want to know more about and how they grow. The growth excites me. It makes me excited for the three seasons yet to come in my future.

Season five might be the last season of the second citadel and Juno steel. It might be the last season, but I am excited for the journey to come. For me to get there and see who these people become. these characters evolve even over the course of two seasons, I can see… I can see things are more complex and continue to grow to be more complex every episode, and these characters will not be whom they are right now. They will change. They will grow. They will evolve they will become someone else. I am excited to see who that is.

THE podcast

I’ve really struggled to find a podcast that I enjoy, but the Penumbra Podcast has given me exactly that. Both story’s are incredible, even the bonuses have so much detail. You can just feel the time and passion put into them. There’s a wonderful story, well written characters, comedy that always lands, and beautiful queer representation. Please listen and support this amazing podcast, you won’t regret it.
