How to be on brand with Niki DeGoey

How to be on brand with Niki DeGoey

Today I talk to Niki DeGoey, founder of Hey Niki Creative, about how to tackle your business’ branding. We cover what to do, what to try and what not to do when it comes to branding in 2022. And what the heck it actually means. Is there anything other than fonts and colours you need to think about?!
One of the reasons why I wanted to chat with Niki (apart from the fact that she is awesome) is that she specializes in helping businesses build craveable brands online. No small feat in today’s very competitive digital world! She also shares how and why she decided to go out on her own - I always love to learn about someone’s entrepreneurial journey!
If you’d like to learn more about how Niki can help you, head over to her website at https://www.heyniki.ca/ or give her a follow over on Instagram @NikiDeGoey

    Community over competition

    Community over competition

One of the things that I’ve noticed about the female entrepreneurial world is we tend to get caught up in the dreaded imposter syndrome. I’ve seen advice that really promotes blocking out your “competitors” and not being worried about what they are doing. I agree and disagree with this advice. Mainly because I think that there is more than enough room at the table for all of us and I also love to learn from others in my industry! So, on that note I’d like to introduce you to Amy. Amy is a freelance digital strategist and the founder of two businesses - The Side Hustle and Better Than Fine. Listen in to find out what Amy’s top digital and social media tips are!

And make sure to give Amy a follow on social at:

Well, I have been wanting to do this episode of the Perfectly Imperfect Social podcast for a while now! When I first started this podcast, I made a list of some of my dream guests. Rachel, the founder of Make Lemonade, was one of them. So, you can imagine my excitement when she said yes to my podcast interview request!

    Being a social media disruptor

    Being a social media disruptor

In today’s episode, we talk about something that I love doing. Being someone who is a bit of a social media disruptor and saying things that people may be thinking about (but too afraid to say them!).

To help me have this conversation, I’ve invited Emily Edwardsto join me. Emily is a fellow social media disruptor and is the founder of The Good Birth Co. Tune in to find out how Emily is disrupting the birth professionals industry (in a good way!) and helping people have the childbirth experience they want.

Creating an authentic social media presence with Tamara Robbins Griffith

Creating an authentic social media presence with Tamara Robbins Griffith

Over the last year or so, I’ve been reflecting more and more on how social media strategies shift depending on the industry you work in. While I’m a big believer in embracing your imperfections and not having everything picture perfect, there are some industries that do still lend themselves more to a polished look. One of them is design.

To help us have this conversation, I chat to Tamara Robbins Griffith. She’s a regular guest expert on CityLine, a fellow podcaster and partner in Kerr + Field Interiors. We talk about Tamara’s own entrepreneurial journey and what it means to create a social media presence that is reflective of your business values and what you stand for personally.
