The Program audio series

I often find that the actors sound like they’re reading which takes me out of the story a bit but otherwise this show is refreshing and gripping. The only fictional podcast I listen to.

The very random schedule that they come out on really sucks. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it but knowing it’s gunna be months for the next episode? That’s tough to keep me hooked.

Initially, this was a very compelling podcast. The basic premise gave an opportunity to create and flesh out a dystopian future with a utopian wrapper…it was very in tune with the trajectory of the modern world. However, it seems the creators/writers have run out of ideas and have abandoned that narrative. It’s become disjointed and seems to fall back on leftist tropes instead of strong storytelling and engaging narrative. I’ll give it a couple more episodes to see if it can find its way back to what made it great. If not, then it’s another ‘great idea, terrible execution’ exercise.

This show was incredible at the very start, now it is a bunch of jumbled up woke crap. Non-linear is fine if done right, but story lines are not explained well and the world/lore building is lazy or non existent. Don’t waste your time.
