Hush money trial prosecution argues there is a 'mountain of evidence' against Trump in closing arguments

Hush money trial prosecution argues there is a 'mountain of evidence' against Trump in closing arguments

Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut with the closing arguments in the historic first-ever criminal trial of a former U.S. president, Donald Trump. The prosecution argues that the case comes down to three things that they claim to have proven -- that there were in fact false business records, that the false business records were intended to cover up a conspiracy related to the 2016 election, and that Donald Trump was personally involved. As expected, the defense focused heavily on Michael Cohen’s credibility in their closing arguments. We also cover the global condemnation, which is at a fever pitch, after an Israeli airstrike hit a camp for displaced civilians in Rafah. Listen now to this edition of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

Plus, we examine Trump's New York trial concluding soon, amidst his other cases being slow-walked by a favorable judge and the Supreme Court. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) also joins Joy to discuss her epic takedown of Marjorie Taylor Greene, sparking a wave of memes and music. Listen now to this episode of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

Extremist Supreme Court justices wage war on secular America

Extremist Supreme Court justices wage war on secular America

Tonight on The ReidOut, Joy Reid leads with Supreme Court Justice Sam Alito, who reveled in, and joked about, being the one to deliver the death blow to Roe v Wade. Alito is now making it harder to bring racial gerrymandering cases, while reports have shown him flying yet another extremist flag over his home. Also in this episode, we cover Donald Trump wasting his time in the Bronx following a head-spinning week as a criminal defendant, purveyor of Nazi rhetoric, and bald-faced liar claiming that he was a target for assassination. Plus, Joy exposes how Ron DeSantis, fresh from his humiliating presidential campaign, is co-opting the civil rights movement term "freedom summer" to push his hateful agenda. Plus, Joy interviews former special prosecutor Nathan Wade on the Trump Georgia election interference case, the attacks from Trump, and Wade's former relationship with DA Fani Willis, which forced his resignation. Trump's defense rests without Trump testifying

Trump's defense rests without Trump testifying

Tonight on The ReidOut, Joy Reid leads with Donald Trump, who last month claimed that only he and his long-time advisor Dan Scavino could post to his social media account. Trump is now having his campaign blame a nameless "staff member" for posting a video referring to "the creation of a unified Reich." This incident is not the first time Trump has invoked rhetoric echoing Hitler's Germany. We also bring you the latest as Trump's defense rests without Trump testifying in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial. Listen now to this episode of The ReidOut on MSNBC.

Judge Merchan prepares for possibility of Trump testifying

Judge Merchan prepares for possibility of Trump testifying

Tonight on The ReidOut, Joy Reid leads with the fact that it is becoming increasingly clear that Donald Trump's promise to testify was likely just dishonest bravado, as the defense begins its case without calling him. Plus, Joy analyzes significant events that have unfolded recently, including an upside-down American flag--long considered a symbol of distress--that was seen flying over Supreme Court Justice Sam Alito's house. She delves into why Alito and others with the MAGA grievance mentality are apparently in such "distress" that they seem to feel that a Trump dictatorship is necessary to solve their problems. Glad you’re back Joy

Sure missed you! Smart witty tells it like she see’s it. Appreciate her interview style, no nonsense gets the information I want to know. I am hoping her absence gave her producers time to clear up the ad placement issues and up loading her show in a more timely manner.

George Floyd murder 4th anniversary

Unfortunately George Floyd had to die a slow agonizing death under the knee of a white police officer for a sea-change to happen in the representation of other nationalities on TV shows and ads including movies! It is a positive on the heels of a negative incident that should never have happened in this day and age of the 21st century! THANK YOU GEORGE FLOYD! REST IN PEACE!

Love you Joy!!

Joy is every bit as talented a journalist as Rachel Maddow: sharp, incisive and a take-no-prisoner interviewer. The more I watch - or listen - the more I look forward to spending an hour with her every evening. 5 gold stars Joy!
