    What does Family mean beyond blood?In this Episode of The Scared Journey Truth Without Walls, I return to the that first taught me belonging. Christmas at my aunt's house. domino games around the family table, generations gathering at Cousins Ray's house and a beautiful weekend with my children and grandson CJ. As I look back, I realize these ordinary moments were never ordinary at all. There were teaching me about lineage, connection, presence and the love we carry from one generation to the next.     In this deeply personal episode, I explore how performance became my way of surviving. Long before I understood who I truly was, I learned to earn love, acceptance, and safety by achieving, helping, fixing, and never falling apart. This isn’t just my story. It’s also about the women who came before me the strength they carried, the burdens they inherited, and the patterns that were unknowingly passed down through generations. Together, we’ll begin asking an important question: Who am I when I no longer have to perform to belong?     In this episode, I explore one of the most important questions I have ever had to ask myself: Who am I when I am no longer defined by my roles, my achievements, my pain, my survival, or the expectations of others? For much of my life, I understood myself through what I did, what I carried, and how strong I appeared to be. But I began to realize that my true identity existed beneath all of that. This episode is part of my journey back to myself the person God created me to be before life taught me who I needed to become. Join me as I continue this sacred journey, one honest step at a time.
