    2:50 - I dieted for a while this year. I got lean but not shredded by any means. We went on a vacation with my plan being to come off of the cut afterwards. I think I reversed too quickly. My weight has been consistently up about 3-4 pounds for the last few weeks. I’m enjoying more food and hitting PRs at the gym which is awesome. However I’m just worried about putting on too much excess fat. Should I cut calories for a short period of time and work back up slowly? Or just stay here and not increase for a while.

    Over the last decade, the nutrition industry has changed A LOT - to say the least. The pendulum has swung over and over again, amongst multiple areas within nutrition as a whole, and because of that we've seen opinions changed and coaching strategies shift back and forth.


    Today, Cody shares his thoughts on the specific things that his opinion has changed on - for better or worse. Specifically, we dive into whether or not tracking macros is too restrictive for the everyday person (gen-pop), if reverse dieting too slow is actually a thing (or if the speed is dependent on the individual), the nutrient timing paradigm shift that has happened back and forth in the time he's been a coach, and last but not least if there is such a thing as TOO large of a deficit when dieting.
