Our kingdom and God’s kingdom are always in conflict. Just like the builders of the Tower of Babel, we too want to make a name for ourselves. We strive for control and security. Throughout history, we’ve seen this on a larger scale, with the rise of kingdoms, nations, and empires fighting for wealth and power. In today’s message, Pastor Ken teaches that ultimately, God is the one who is in control, and His kingdom will be victorious. Today, choose to lay down your crown and submit to His authority. 

Can you see the fire of wickedness burning all around you? The Bible says wickedness burns like an out-of-control fire. Is anyone trying to put it out? Today, Pastor Ken explains that this fire is so bad, and so obvious, that it compels God to do something about it. The smoke from the burning wickedness of our day rises to His nostrils. God must and will combat this fire to preserve His Creation. He’s faithful. Let's pray that God will drop His plumb line upon our nation to set things right again.

Are you like the Israelites back then? Do you recognize God's judgment when it comes, or are you unaware? Pastor Ken teaches us today that the folks back then didn't recognize God's judgment when it was right in front of them. Do we recognize God’s judgment? Those who see an event today as God's judgment are ridiculed. But it takes a wise believer to understand what God is up to. God uses disease, famine, economic downturns, and natural disasters as judgment. Let's discern wisely.

Does this sound familiar? How much different is our culture today from that of Israel back then? Today, Pastor Ken compares us to the immoral times of Isaiah 9. There are stunning similarities. The evil was so prevalent that God had to do something. What He did was to provoke Israel's enemies to conquer Israel. This was God's judgment then, what will be God's judgment now? The evil in our culture is so rampant that it calls for God to do something. Let’s pray for God’s righteousness to prevail.

Did you hear that? The long-awaited coming of God's Kingdom on Earth doesn't depend on you. In his message today, Pastor Ken teaches us that God's zeal will bring His Kingdom to Earth. He will do it, we won't. What freedom that realization brings. We can't mess up or harm God's plan to reign on Earth. So, don't despair when all seems lost. God has a plan, and He will fulfill His promises. Let's continue to do what God told us to do, that is go forth and make disciples until we no longer can.

Are you walking in darkness? Have you seen the light? In his message today, Pastor Ken reminds us that those walking in darkness are the ones who are leading the nations away from Jesus. Before we found Jesus, we were just like those walking in darkness. It's our commission, as ones now walking in the light, to take The Light to those still in darkness. Let's ask God to bring us opportunities to shed light into a darkened heart today.
