the best atheism related podcast/podcaster out there today

I've been a long time fan of this show and was surprised to discover today that I had not yet left a review.

Seth is definitely my favourite when it comes to this subject as he does not belittle those who continue to maintain religious belief nor does he act superior to others. I hesitate to identify as an atheist because there are so many atheists who do ridicule or belittle anyone who does have "faith" and I don't think they understand what it's like to grow up in a (very) religious family, what it's like to begin to question that religion...that same religion that the closest people/family to you hold so dear, and eventually what it's like to experience the reaction of those same people/family when they first learn (or suspect) that you have come to reject those beliefs. Seth definitely understands this and has lived it himself....he continues to live it! I assume that's what gives Seth his capability to understand and even sympathize with those on all sides.

I learn a lot from this podcast while simultaneously being entertained but most of all I often find a source of strength from this show. I used to hide in shame my atheism when around those I love and/or respect who are deeply religious but partly through this show I have learned that not only is it not ok to be non-religious but that in fact I don't need to nor should I hide who I am or what I believe in or don't believe in! I can be respectful of others and what they believe in BUT they too should also respect me the same! As for those that cut you out of their life because you refuse to believe in what they believe in anymore, well, unfortunately there isn't much you can do about that but that's on them. And not that it really comforts but it does help to know in some way...I've learned too from this show that there are many, many others out there who have been through the same thing.

The Thinking Atheist is a fantastic podcast and I really appreciate all the work that Seth puts into it every show. I highly recommend this podcast to everyone and as long as Seth enjoys doing it then I hope it continues for a very long time. Thanks Seth!
