    Episode 255 - Tiny Doctors

    Episode 255 - Tiny Doctors

Tyler Colton of Goodbye Viking joins me to talk about a fan-favorite deep cut, "Tiny Doctors," which never even made it to the Dial-a-Song machine, finally being released on TMBG Unlimited. We ponder about how deep to read into the lyrics and whether this song should have been fleshed out and put on an album, and then we hear a crazy amount of covers for how obscure this song is.

Continuing our streak of bizarre early songs, Lauren Davis returns to the show and brings along a friend, newcomer Matt Molaro. We talk about old synths, John C. Reilly, and try to figure out what the hell is up with this song.

great podcast

I love They Might Be Giants, and I love this podcast! What else is there to say?

Audio Quality

Podcast would be fine if it wasn’t for the abysmal audio quality. Sounds like it was recorded onto a wax cylinder using a 19th century carbon microphone, and then the cylinders were lost in a damp and stifling cave for a century before they were recovered. Not to mention the constant din of off-putting mouth sounds, lip smacking, and distracting background noise. Unsure if there’s only one host or multiple because the audio renders the voices more or less unintelligible, but he/they should really invest in some decent recording equipment and try to learn a bit about mixing and mastering.
