Nothing but portable gaming!
If you're a fan of portable games like 3DS and the PS Vita, then this podcast is right up your alley. It's done by the fine people at Tiny Cartridge and it's such a joy to listen to. You can tell cast really loves and is passionate about this culture of games. I tip my hat to the lot of them.
Fills a niche good
As a primarily player of handheld consoles (a dying breed outside Japan) it is great to have an entire podcast dedicated on that subject to listen to. With that said, two things that could be improved:
1) Audio quality averages from average to mediocre, making it a less than enjoyable listening experience compared to other gaming podcasts. The panelists should really consider investing in decent microphones. The overall mix is also problematic, for instance Christian Nutt is often too loud compared to the others, while JC tends to be a whispering voice at best.
2) Calling it a podcast about the 3DS and Vita is inaccurate at best. It’s really a podcast about the 3DS, and then maybe some Vita coverage as a footnote, if time allows. While I can’t blame them for it (they talk about what interests them most, and that’s their right), it would be nice of them to try and make an effort to bring a more balanced coverage.
