We watched "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" (1997) for this episode and some of us loved it and some of us didn't so much... We did have a few drinks while recording this episodes, it's a little loose so be warned!

We suffered through Bio-Dome (1996) so you don't have to. We invested our resources to secure this film and sat through its entirety, all for the sake of our podcast. We watch Fight Club (1999) for this episode and while marvelling at Brad Pitt's abs and despite still enjoying the film, we recognise that maybe the toxic masculinity presented doesn't quite hold up today.

This week we drew Romeo + Juliet (1996) out of the R2D2 bucket and were very existed to be back in the realm of teenage angst and dramatic flair that Baz Luhrmann skilfully extracted from the enchanting duo of Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. What fun, and tragedy!

Hey I’m Oddy, I loved my Rom Coms in the 90s, Clueless, 10 Things and Never Been Kissed among them. These days I nerd out over the Marvel Cinematic Universe mostly and anything with Tom Holland.

I’m Scott and from 1995 to 2005 I only watched alternative, arthouse and foreign films, I was too snobby for that commercial stuff. So part of doing this podcast is rediscovering pop-culture treasures that I might have missed.

I'm Minty and I grew up in Papua New Guinea in the 90s, where cinemas weren't a thing, so I only got to watch the latest movies on the local pirated cable channel, or at the cinema while on holidays overseas.

We got to know each other while working on the Queer Perth podcast and were constantly distracted by the latest thing we’d watched. This evolved into discussing beloved movies from our past so we thought we’d make a podcast to discuss them and connect with other movie lovers across the world.

We've each selected 5 movies and popped them in our R2D2 Bucket. We'll draw a movie at the end of every episode. You'll have a chance to watch it and the next time, we'll break it down and decide if it's trusted or busted!
