    American Gangster, Part 1

    American Gangster, Part 1

Dave and Joanna talk about this fast-paced but very long film with so many cameos but maybe too many characters. Denzel gives a stellar performance as real-life gangster Frank Louis, but how much is real is up for debate . . . after all, gangsters aren’t known for being entirely truthful.

    Munich, Part 1

Joanna Dave = Me Subscribing

Dave and Joanna have such great chemistry together as hosts. I’ve been a big fan of their recap podcasts in the past and it’s nice to see that they are mixing things up a bit with the format. Truth Vs Hollywood is much more polished than what I’ve heard from them previously but still retains the fun camaraderie that I’ve come to enjoy. Can’t wait to see what other movies they tackle!

Really looking forward to this

This is a topic I’m really excited about. I’ve always looked into the real stories behind films that claim to be either a true story or based on a true story. I find many films “Hollywood” a true story for no good reason, for example, Bohemian Rhapsody. The only movie I know that is really close to 100% true is Black Hawk Down. Hope you review these 2.
