Using Peace as Power with Michael Arterberry Your Gut Reaction

    • Alternative Health

How can we find peace, use peace and rise from what is happening in the world right now? This week I sat down with Michael Arterberry, youth development expert and founder and executive director at Youth Voices Center Inc. in Connecticut.

We had been planning this talk for over a month as we were supposed to discuss how to be a role model for our youth and what we can best do to support their wellness and growth. Then a week before we got together, Mr. George Floyd was murdered and our news feeds, social media and conversations with friends and family have been filled with protests and pain, outrage and fear.

As a leader and visionary in the Power of Peace Movement, working for over two decades with at-risk youths, we looked at what has happened, how to deal with this, and where to go from here.

Michael has been a recipient of the 100 Men of Color Award and Educator of the Year. He is an accomplished author, motivational speaker and facilitator of his signature program Power of Peace. You can reach Michael at: Website: Youth Voice Center Inc. Facebook: www.facebook.com/YouthVoicesCenter Or get his book: Be Encouraged!!!: 250 Days of Motivation and Encouragement At the end of this episode, I mentioned a contest. I won't spoil the details (they are all in the episode), but you can reach out to me at either marla@marlabarr.com or on Instagram at @marla.barr.

Wishing you love, light and the knowledge that we are all one during this time.
