Waldorfy serves to explore and explain Waldorf Education and Anthroposophy. In most episodes, I discuss topics with a Waldorf teacher, or someone with knowledge about anthroposophy, to deliver accurate, simple, interesting, information and explanations. When possible we’ll bring to attention any research or studies surrounding the topics we are exploring. My main aim is to reach parents, perspective parents, and alumni to engage them with the meaning and purpose of Waldorf Education and it’s connection with anthroposophy.

    What's Waldorf?

    What's Waldorf?

I figured we'd better start this seventh season of the show by revisiting  one of the show's most commonly asked questions.  In this episode I'm speaking with returning guest Chinyelu Kunz of the We Nurture podcast. Her many years of experience with Waldorf give her an incredible perspective and ability to explain clearly  what the Waldorf approach is and what it aims to achieve.

    Play

    Play

Play. It's such a simple topic, but one I really felt had to be highlighted in this season due to how integral it is to the Waldorf approach. In this episode, returning guest and listener favorite, Tim Bennett is back, to speak with me all about play. Together we explore why play is such a big part of the Waldorf approach, how play supports a child's natural development, how we as parents carers can create plenty of space for play, and so much more!

Super informative for prospective Waldorf Teachers

I love this podcast and have found it so informative and helpful as a teacher who is hoping to become a Waldorf educator in the near future. It’s helped answer so many questions and concerns I’ve had. I especially appreciate how Waldorfy is discussing inclusivity and diversity this season. Keep the content coming! Thank you, from Perth, Australia :)

So Informative!

This is the best podcast I’ve found on all aspects of Waldorf Education, from philosophy to practical application. For a newbie to Waldorf, I find it easy to understand, inspirational and I love the guests!

Amazing content!

I am a young solo mom of 2 little girls. My oldest one always attended Montessori (absolutely love) schools but throughout her 5 years I always felt that ok this educational system is really nice but lacking something and I couldn’t really name it. At first the lack of fantasy/imaginative play bothered me. But once I started to read about Waldorf Education it just made so much sense of what i wanted for my daughter. I am currently living in Canada, attending college in Early Childhood Education and plan to get me foundations studies / waldorf training. I found not only what I want for my both daughters but what I want to do for my life as a profession. This podcast is so so so good, great content and talk . I am listening nonstop!!!! Thanks SO MUCH for bringing this. Ashley brings from a parent perspective but she digs really deep, thanks again !!!! Please don’t stop 😄

I do have one request, if possible of course. I mentioned that my oldest daughter had her first 5 years of education on a Montessori setting, would it be possible to make a comparison between those two ? I also know some parents and school that blend montessori and waldorf. It would be so nice to have 2 invited persons to talk on the podcast, one from a montessori perspective and the other from a waldorf and they both touching base on the view of play, teaching, academics, schedule and everything else. Anyways, i would love to listen to this!

Many thanks Ashley 💕💕💕💕
