Amazing!

Anne Bogel is so personable and very knowledgeable about many things, but especially books! She gives awesome recommendations. Be prepared to add countless books to your TBR list!

Best podcast ever

I can’t adequately convey how much I enjoy listening to Anne and her guests. I could gush on and on for hours about how she feels like the smart best friend I used to dream would move in next door...who has a weirdly similar taste in books, but is generally a much nicer person than me! She is warm and articulate and thoughtful and so freakishly well read it is a mystery to me how she manages to live a life outside of her job. Because she also writes a blog! And instagrams! And has written 2 books! And has 4 children! But that’s not what makes the podcast great, it’s that no matter what your taste in books, if you are an avid reader, a person whose idea of bliss is sinking into a good story, you will love this podcast. Anne ushers into your personal listening space a parade of interesting people to discuss books they love...and some they don’t, and you end up with new books you want to read, different perspectives on books you’ve already read, and a more profound appreciation for how many great stories and great people are out there in the world. It’s uplifting, inspiring, but mostly just plain satisfying. I’ve started listening to audio books since listening to the podcast and it’s changed my long distance driving into a joy, I’ve discovered new authors (hello Joshilyn Jackson, Marisa de los Santos, Chimamanda Idoche, Collin Whitehead and Robert Galbraith - ok that one’s a cheat but I didn’t know JK Rowling was writing mysteries under a nom de plume) and I’ve had my thoughts on the nature of aging changed by Atul Gawande. I can’t say enough about how many small miracles of pleasure the podcast has gifted me and I hope the podcast runs forever... though that is why Anne is nicer than me...I’m sure she wouldn’t be so selfish as to wish that on anyone else! However long you do the podcast, it is making life more interesting, enjoyable and thought provoking for me and I’m sure 1,000s of other readers out here. Thanks for everything you and your team do!
