Really like Kyle, but please have less Kim Strassel!
Been a long time subscriber for wsj and very happy with the news and also value the opinion, but Kim strassel comes across a bit more of a republican hack rather than a conservative opinion maker. Kyle definitely allows for more nuanced and alternative views. Bill remains quite a consistent conservative in terms of economy and role of government, but Kim essentially just aims to justify what ever the republicans do, such as obstructionism is ok when republicans do it, and move straight to what-aboutism and says what a democrat did, or finds the most extreme left side view point and says that is the whole other side… it’s a little sad to hear sometimes in an otherwise great podcast. There is enough hypocrisy to go around and a good opinion writer shouldn’t just stoop to that method of building a case. Kim is very knowledgeable and a great writer, but I don’t know how to distinguish her from Hannity in terms of her cheerleading. Sorry Kim!
Maybe bring in other opinion writers.. Peggy Noonan, Mary Ogrady, Allysia Finley
A steady stream of negativity about America
This is a podcast all about the complaints and gripes of a group of pundits whose entire careers are built on negative reporting.
Possibly 5 stars if Kim Strassel wasn’t involved
I am very conservative but Kim makes absolutely no effort to separate fact from opinion & constantly ignores blatant reality with her ridiculous statements that are much more fitting to newsmaxx than WSJ. I understand WSJ’s need to cater to certain people for clicks & I always attempt to listen to/respect various opinions but I assume she doesn’t attempt to minimize her abjection of reality for this podcast during the break from Fox news
