You do not realise how valuable each breath you take is until your life becomes endangered. Last year my family invested in a lake house, we would drive up every summer and stay there for the break. But one day I was casually swimming in the water when I felt something touch my foot. I shot my head down at the water and saw a massive snapping turtle under me… I screamed! All of a sudden I felt a stabbing pain in my ankle… The turtle had latched on to my foot. I started kicking and screaming, the water was blood red. Then the turtle pulled me under… I couldnt breath, Adrenaline rushed through my veins, I punched the turtle, over and over again. Finally it broke off, I used all my strength to swim back up. I gasped for air, I was alive.
