Episode 18: Sober LGBTQIA+ nightlife spaces | feat. Beth

Welcome to another episode of Gender Gab. This time I'm joined by fellow PhD researcher Beth who tells us all about sober nightlife spaces for LGBTQIA+ communities. It's been a long-awaited episode, but we've finally pulled it all together. Enjoy! xx Julia ------- Connect with Beth on Instagram @areyoubeing.served and on Twitter @bethmeadows95 Please also see below for information about an online survey which is part of the Rainbow Scots study Beth mentioned she has been working on as well as her PhD:   RAINBOW SCOTS STUDY We are researchers at Glasgow Caledonian University who have teamed up with experts from America to explore what LGBTQ+  women and non-binary people in Scotland think about alcohol. Many studies have shown that LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people are at higher risk than cisgender heterosexual women of experiencing harm from alcohol. However, we know very little about the attitudes and perspectives of sexual minority women and non-binary people, so are very interested in your views.  Our on-line survey explores what types of messages and resources might be helpful for LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary people who want to reduce the amount they drink or become more curious about when, why, and where they drink. We also want to learn what is most helpful in supporting people to make healthy choices while still enjoying life and social events. Please participate in this online survey to help us learn about what LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people in Scotland think about drinking in our communities, and pass on the link to others too. If eligible, you’ll receive a £10 Amazon gift card for participating.
