In this podcast, you will find tactical and realistic solutions to set you free from the concerns and stress of whether you are doing the right things.

My mission is to equip you in your calling to embrace and then thrive in your homeschool, motherhood, and homemaking.

If you’re ready to get out of survival mode, feel confident, and have peace in your heart and home--you’re in the right place!

Hi, I’m Leigh, a kingdom-minded wife and mom. I tried to duct tape my priorities together without the right focus for way too many years. I was busy chasing approval from others, trying to meet perceived external expectations, and flying by the seat of my pants as a homeschool mom.

I finally realized that if I was going to fully embrace the life I had, I needed to operate from a place of peace and joy. That’s when I planted my feet firmly where I was and began to create beauty, seek simplicity, and live intentionally. And I’m ready to share this with you!

If you are ready to love your life as a homeschool mom and to know for certainty that you are doing the right thing for your children--this podcast is for you!

Close up that lesson book, mama, let the kids go play, it’s time for you to thrive!

    268. 4 Spots In Your Home To Stop Neglecting And Get Under Control During The Summer

We've chatted quite a bit lately about making memories with our homeschooled children during the summer. But, it's also a great time for you to catch up on things around the house.
With most curriculum lessons put on hold, you may have a little bit more margin in your days. And I know that you can fill that time up very quickly with fun things.
But, I have found that it is a wonderful feeling to go into the next homeschool year feeling like my home is a bit more under control. The projects that loom over our heads as homemakers can cast quite a shadow and add some anxiety.
What if you used some time this summer to tackle a few of those tasks? Today, I want to share with you 4 often over-looked spots that will make the biggest impact on your day to day life as a homeschool family.
Get ready to pull your hair up in a messy bun and get to work after this episode!

    265. Busting Common Homeschool Myths: How To React And Respond To People's Comments

If you heard it once, you'll hear it a hundred more times. The same homeschool myths come up over and over again. It might be the stranger at the grocery store, the neighbor down the street, or even your own aunt.
People mostly comment out of ignorance or obliviousness. But, it still can get under our skin as homeschool moms. And it feels degrading and at the very least, annoying.
Today, I'm going to fill your confidence up with how to react, respond, and move on when others feel that they can speak into your life. The goal is for you to feel encouraged and empowered as to how to deal with each situation that arises.
I promise not to hold back in this episode...so, let's go!

    264. The Truth About Why It Isn't Easier To Put Your Home Educated Children In School

    264. The Truth About Why It Isn't Easier To Put Your Home Educated Children In School

If we got a dollar every time someone suggested putting our kids in school, we'd have a good chunk of change by now, right?
But I also have a sneaking suspicion that the thought of it being easier to just put your kids in school has crossed your mind a time or two. Or maybe quite a few times. No shame though. This was a thought in the back of my mind for many years as well.
However, once you see the truth about this statement, the whole idea and premise behind where our kids are educated falls apart.
My goal in this episode is to fill up your heart...as well as your ability to articulate this decision...so that you feel free to live out this calling of your family's.
You might want to grab a pen and piece of paper for this one!

    263. 3 Tips to Being Fully Present With Your Homeschool Kids This Summer

As a homeschool mom, you made that intentional decision to educate your children at home, which means, everyone is home with you...all the time. And when summer comes, it can be very easy to disengage a little bit.
This usually happens because the curriculum is completed and you are mentally and emotionally drained.
But, you've got that mom guilt hanging over your head too. "Everyone" seems to have an opinion about how you should spend your summer. And I'm not here to give you a list that will only add more burden to you.
Instead, I'd like to encourage you to be intentional about being present and spending time with your children. Just a few little tips will help you keep your mind focused on what is most important so that you and your children can have a great summer!
