    IN THE PASTOR'S OFFICE

    IN THE PASTOR'S OFFICE

Do you understand the difference between spirituality and religion? Do you struggle with either? Being born into an African Christian household, I was somehow scared into religion until I began to ask myself questions which would not give me peace. I don't know if it's the logical side of my brain taking over or it is the "devil's work" as some people would put it.

    SHOWER DREAMS AND FANTASIES

    SHOWER DREAMS AND FANTASIES

Many times people sing and dance and talk to themselves and come up with ideas and reflect on their lives, in the shower. Sometimes we sing the songs of our favourite artists or think about an argument we lost and what we should have said but didn't or come up with ideas for our next side hustle or even dream about what life will be like in a couple of years to come. It's rather interesting how all this happens in the shower. Perhaps it could be that because it is a place of total privacy and maybe even for some relaxation, we can think clearly about certain things and let our minds wander off. The thoughts and dreams in our sub conscious mind can be let out without limitations. This episode reveals a little about my thoughts and actions in the shower.

    AM I WHO I THINK I AM

    AM I WHO I THINK I AM

Self doubt is crippling and many of us struggle with it. In this episode, I describe a short interaction with my African mother and we share a vulnerable moment, which is a little shocking considering how many African parents never let down their guard. I also recall moments when I really doubted myself including when I was a child. I'm yet to understand the root cause of my moments of self doubt but I hope this episode will help you ask yourself questions with regards to self doubt and hopefully, you will begin to build the understanding to be kinder to yourself and the courage to live your best life.
