Every gig is different from the next and required a unique take. Some routines are similar and even a bit repetitive, but they are all slightly different. Always assessing and adapting action is a way to never disappoint your audience and yourself. You got to “Play the Gig” to make it big.

Oops, I did it again! In 2007  I lit my face on fire a second time in New Zealand. Am I an idiot…absolutely? Why? Because I didn’t need to do it, it wasn’t necessary at all. Are you afraid of being embarrassed or judged? Not seen as competent or trustworthy. I’m here to put your worries at ease, because I’ve had my face on fire twice. Both times were in front of groups of people I wanted to be impressed by me. But it both times were the ultimate embarrassment. But no one cares and everyone understands that mistakes get made. This is how I lit my face on fire for the first time.

In 2000 FireGuy was being buried under a pile of promo packages. Not getting noticed and passed up required a re-think re-brand reintroduction. Promo Pile is about sticking out and piling up the profit.

FireGuy was in Australia and needed help. So he asked Australia to help and it did.
Asking for help is never easy. Like asking for directions, it means admitting we are lost, in need or help. You need help! If we pretend to ourselves that we have most of the answers we need to survive, then we won’t ask the questions that help us thrive. Asking for specific help means you know where you are and exactly what you want. Knowing gets growing going.

Brant goes back to when his brother and him regularly shared two cans of Chunky soup for lunch. Sometimes a smiling face can spoon feed you lies, leaving a bitter taste in your mouth. It’s Brother Broth and it’s what’s being served.
