James is one of the nicest and honest people I have met, and has accomplished many goals in his bucket list of life. Not many can say they found their passion in photography after serving in the marines, doing numerous triathlons, and working in the special Emergency Services Unit of the NYPD,  I met James many moons ago when we were both younger, and over the years I have witnessed his growth as an artist and athlete all the while balancing a very hectic and demanding work schedule.  As always, I like to showcase local figures who are accomplished and get their story.    https://www.jamesdiazphotography.com/

Today, I wanted to do something different. By chance, or maybe fate, my friend Joe Pagano hit me up about the new Warhammer rpg, and we got to talking which led me to invite him to talk tabletop with me.  I have been an avid board game and tabletop rpg player for a while now, and while I haven't had a chance to play wargames, Joe has competed in numerous tournaments and has painted up some sweet award winning minis.  He hosts a podcast (https://rageofsigmar.podbean.com/) and you can find him at gaming conventions all over the US and Europe. Kevin RC Wilson is a respected and well known photographer who has documented various bands and concerts for publications like Revolver. Today we chat about how a young piercer from Maryland came to NYC to hustle for that American dream, the experiences gained from working at one of the busiest tattoo shops in the city and how he met and befriended all these bands which helped launch his photography career.  We talk about suffering for your art and also being thankful and paying it forward.
