S1, E8: What's good nutrition got to do with unemployment? Quite a lot as it turns out.
In this episode of Joining the Job Queue I chat to nutritionist and life coach Sonya Reynolds.
Sonya explains why eating well is critical to maintaining well-being and managing stress while we're on the hunt for work. We talk about the key foods we should - and shouldn't - be eating and yes, we are allowed to have some chocolate!
We also talk about shopping on a reduced budget, self care and vitamin supplements. And, she shares one of her easy and healthy recipes with us (see below).
Macadamia Strawberry Smoothie (serves one)
Ingredients
1⁄2 cup Coconut Water
1⁄2 cup Coconut Milk
1⁄2 Avocado
1⁄2 cup of Strawberries
5 Macadamia Nuts
Handful of Ice
Put all the ingredients into a blender and blitz! Yum.

For many of us, COVID has led to a change of direction. Either because we've had to - in the case of our job or industry being impacted, or because we want to, as the pandemic has slowed down our lives to allow our dreams to come to the fore.
Maybe, like me, you've been thinking about making a change for a while but the timing was never right. Until the decision is taken out of your hands!
