We did it! We finished the school year. In reflection, we are learning what worked and what didn't. Our job now is to define what's next. The answer to the question is to prioritize the student perspective. With some adjustments, we can better support our students, especially the ones that struggled. Those who return to the start of the school year in person after all they went through during this pandemic year will need something new. It will require that we do a few things I share today. 

At this point of the school, you are already back in class or are preparing to return. As you do, here are few thoughts about equity and the needs of your students. As you complete the school year, remember that you have to take care of yourself, too. 

With a portion of the school year over, what considerations and actions can you take to engage your reluctant learners. Take a listen to hear a few ideas and find a few of your own. 

As we begin the year, one of our challenges will be to engage our reluctant learners. In this episode, we will explore some ideas to help us engage our students. More importantly, we will work to better understand the student perspective and three causes of student reluctance. 

Every school leader has a vision for the first faculty meeting of the year. This is year is different and requires a new approach. Relying on navigational, social, and resistant capital, leaders can start the year with a meeting that responds to a tumultuous summer with heart and direction.
