Welcome to the last episode of Reflections: An Afrofuturism Podcast!

***PSA: Lovecraft S1E7 is mentioned! There is also slight explicit language ***

In this episode, I speak with my TA (teacher's assistant) Jada Similton. I have gotten the privilege to study beneath her while taking this afrofuturism course. This episode recounts the foundational elements of afrofuturism and helps find effective ways to identify black speculative works in our everyday lives. Thank you for tuning in to my very first podcast!

Dr. Julian Chambliss: Revolutionizing Black Panther, CP Time, and Real and Imagined Cities

Welcome episode 1 of Reflections: An Afrofuturism Podcast!

Dr. Julian Chambliss is a historian and comic writer who currently serves in the Department of English at Michigan State University. He also so happens to be my professor for the Afrofuturism course that inspired this podcast! In this episode, we discuss the history of Black Panther, CP time (colored people time), and more. Dr. Chambliss's research on real and imagined cities provides an interesting lens on how afrofuturism acts as a tool to think about possible future spaces.
