At the centre of that conversation is their two cornerstones in Bo Bichette and Vlad Guerrero Jr. They enlist the help of Sportsnet’s own Ben Nicholson-Smith to delve into how the organization is going over that decision, whether or not its realistic to think the Jays can compete next season and how MLB’s postseason format makes middling teams like them think they can. After BNS, they pick the brain of another baseball mind and welcome on MLB Network’s Adnan Virk. They get into if teams are looking at the Blue Jays as a feasting ground at the deadline and how the decisions this front office makes about their cornerstone pieces in Bo & Vlad could be a tipping point for the organization that will impact the franchise’s future for many years to come.
