David Flatman and Tom Shanklin are two former professional rugby players. Having been flatmates while playing at Saracens, their friendship endured, and now they’d like to share with you bunches of views and thoughts and jokes. Please, do let the chaps know if you like it (or don’t!).

Alter-egos: the perfect partnership
Gents, I want to say thanks for the pod and also let you know how you constantly remind me of my best man as the perfect partnership. My best man, John Edwards, is from Bridgend but grew up in Upminster, Essex. When he qualified as a vet he moved back to Bridgend (Costs Equine Bridgend, for when your kids grow up and want a pony looking after...). When he's in Essex, he's you, Flats, and now he's back in Bridgend, he's you Shanks - the mysterious shift in accent happens somewhere along the M4... He has your build, Flats, a front-rower (a fine calf), loves a Big Green Egg, and he has your sense of humour, Shanks (your tickin' in Tesco gag is straight from his repertoire!) - like you he has a gag for every occasion. So thanks for embodying his alter egos and for a great pod! Bob (also a front-rower, but not funny, or from Wales) in Switzerland.
