    Year One with Erin Bagwell

    Year One with Erin Bagwell

In the final episode of Season 1, Nat speaks with Erin Bagwell. A documentary film maker, a blogger and a mom, Erin launched her second documentary this May - Year One. Year One follows Erin during her first year of motherhood. Intimate, honest and at some points heart wrenching, Erin explores identity shifts, navigating postpartum depression and as she puts it 'the extraordinary moments of being a mom.'

Nat and Erin talked about vulnerability, asking for help and what moms can actually go through - that so many people never see.

If you are struggling or feeling like this new journey is not what you had expected Erin's website has a whole host of resources you can access.

You are not alone, and help will make a difference. Find more information here - http://Erin-bagwell.com/help

The Boundaries of Birth & Destigmatizing a 'Normal' Birth Story With Nat & Jamie

In this weeks episode, we are thrilled to announce a new addition! Nat Buchanan has officially joined us as a Guest Host! Listen in to learn what she'll be talking about and when you can hear from her!

With her wealth of knowledge and experience she brings a unique perspective to discussions everywhere from fertility, to pregnancy to motherhood. As a Doula, Nat believes that knowledge is power, and in the complicated and confusing road to building a family, that knowledge can support families to do what feels right. In her first episode, she speaks to friend & sister-in-law Jamie, who after two C-sections advocated for herself to deliver her third bundle of joy via VBAC.

Jamie is strong and driven and her story of the trauma she experienced with her previous births, motivated her to reflect on what she wanted, and fight for it.

Jamie & Nat have a great conversation about the power of each woman's choice. Not doctors, or medical professionals, they are sharing their experience with the tough stuff and the overwhelming pride that comes from doing your homework and sticking up for yourself.

Women are Warriors - A Doula on the power of advocacy, education & supporting others through miscarriage

Women are Warriors - A Doula on the power of advocacy, education & supporting others through miscarriage

Mama, BFF & powerhouse Natalie Buchanan is on today to talk REAL. On her journey to become a Doula she has learned so much about fertility, pregnancy and motherhood, and I wanted to know what in her life inspired her to explore something totally outside of her professional lane. She discusses her own health challenges, how her pregnancies differed, how she finally advocated for herself and how that experience inspired her quest to become a Doula.

With intentions to support families in all different parts of the Doula industry, she had questions for me about how to support those suffering through a miscarriage. She also wanted all the details, like ALL of them. So it's a long one, it's a detailed one but hopefully its an informative one, helping those who've never experienced with tools that can assist them in supporting others.

Follow Natalie for all the realness that is fertility, pregnancy, birth & postpartum @natalb_doula
