In this week's episode, I interview Registered Holistic Nutritionist Monika Eva. Monika is also an instructor at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and Founder of The Balanced Body Method, her 12 week holistic program specifically designed to help women rebalance their hormones so they can lose weight, skyrocket their energy and regain full control of their mood. Here's how Monika explains her health journey:
"For years, I struggled with losing weight. I tried every fad diet, cleanse, detox and bootcamp you could possibly imagine. And it doesn’t end there. Losing weight wasn’t my only struggle. I also suffered from debilitating migraines, fatigue (adrenal), out of control sugar cravings, terrible digestion, PMS, the worst bloating and anxiety.

In this week's episode, I interview fertility coach Sarah Clark. When Sarah Clark was 28 years old, she received a diagnosis of premature ovarian failure. She accepted the diagnosis and had both her children through in vitro fertilization. Years later she realized that the root cause of her infertility was a food sensitivity and later a gut infection.
Sarah is a certified life coach with accreditation from the International Coaches Federation and a health coach with training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is also the author of Fabulously Fertile - Supercharge your Fertility Naturally. Benefits of CrossFit While Reversing Asthma & Allergies Through Nutrition ft. Mitchel Harding l Naturally Nino Episode 18
Mitchel Harding is a highly educated personal trainer that also happens to manage his own portfolio of personal real estate investments. Originally from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, Mitchel now lives in Dallas, TX where he spends most of his day either working or studying.
When asked, Mitchel says he considers his upbringing to be a healthy one. "I attended great schools, I played many sports from a young age and lived on a large piece of property. My parents often worked, and I would watch them achieve a great deal of professional success. I absorbed their appetite for hard work and associated it with our quality of life at an early age. In high school I began weight training and responded quickly – this positive feedback would help me cultivate a passion for fitness," he says.
A few years into moving to America, Mitchel came across a YouTube video of Greg Glassman discussing this funny thing called "CrossFit" where people worked out for time. Initially it sounded silly to him because he could only wrap his head around three sets of ten with a one-minute break (typical hypertrophic rep ranges). "But I gave it a chance and although I have little to no background in engineering or science – the methodology which is rooted in science made undeniable sense," Mitchel shared. It was a very exciting "AHA" moment! It didn't take long for him to visit a “box” and begin immersing myself in the culture. A stark contrast from the lonely bodybuilder who works out on his own, instead, these people worked out together in a highly competitive environment. Above all, the one thing you always hear any person who does CrossFit say is how much fun it is!

She has taken extra training in pregnancy and pediatrics, which she incorporates into her practice. She loves serving others and cannot imagine doing anything else. Kristin is also a wellness educator with Young Living where she helps families incorporate natural cleaner products into their homes. She and her husband, Tyler, have two sons, Tanner and Brody, and a daughter, Keelie, who were all born at home. When she's not at the office, Dr. Marchman enjoys staying active and spending time with her three favorite guys and little gal, as her love language is most definitely quality time.

Shelby Brook Bishop was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she had an early introduction to sports and athletics; predominantly focusing on track and field, softball, and basketball. Her father, James Bishop, nurtured her athletic ability from the age of four, honing her performance until she was eventually awarded collegiate scholarships for softball, followed by track & field.
Injuries would cut her career short, before long Shelby would have to reframe her reasons for training and staying “competition ready” in a college environment. It was about this time that the methodology of CrossFit was beginning to become popular. As a trained athlete the intensity came naturally.
This change of dynamics, whereby Shelby was now solely responsible for her own health and training, coupled with a degree in Kinesiology, meant that she would develop a keen and newfound sense for how her body works and what it requires from her in order to operate optimally. It was also while majoring in Kinesiology that Shelby found a passion in sharing what she had learned about the fundamental truths of health and fitness and how this knowledge could change people’s lives for the better.
Shelby saw it as her aim, not only to transform your physical abilities but to fortify mental strength: The job is to expose the hidden inner potential in others.
She believes that people should take a long-term approach prioritizing physical and psychological health over behavioral patterns that provide short-term gratification but negatively affect people’s health. A state of prevention over treatment. Rather than hopping on the prescription train, she challenges her clients to build an intuitive mind-body connection and draw the necessary correlation between the food you eat; your mental clarity, your physical condition; AND YOUR REALITY.
