MISS as known in medical terms, this procedure is a boon to the patients suffering from various spine or backbone related disorders like a Herniated Disc, Spinal Stenosis, Spinal Instability, Scoliosis, Spondylosis, fracture of the vertebrae, extraction of tumour from the spine and for treating infection in the spine. Contrary to the open spine surgery that would leave the patient with a long, deep cut in the back, MISS is performed through a device called a tubular retractor which provides access to the troubled area without damaging muscle and soft tissue.
