A weekly podcast on our collective vision of photography, in a rather informal tone.

This is the English version of an already existing French podcast (podiffusion in French).

Let's try to talk about everything related to our photographic practice, but also about the motivations and a little about the philosophy of what drives us to capture images and then share them.

@zdrilx is an experimental photographer / videographer / musician / coder, also co-founder and artistic director of the PhotoGenève photography festival.

Tania Kaaz - mesmerizing with film photography and getting in touch with deeper details of reality

Tania discovered the magic of analog photography as a child. Capturing light in that way empowered her not only to be more mindful of her surroundings but also a way to share the finer details that most would have missed.

She discusses how she captures moments that would otherwise disappear for ever, and how her use of chemical processes where she soaks films in diverse substrates add a certain magic to the images of these moments.

How film represents something one can readily touch, to the opposite of a digital negative, and how in that sense it fully embraces its reality. She explains how her creative process generates beauty not only through the chemical transformation of the negatives but also simply because of the magic of the process as a whole.

She also is the founder of an online and in print project/magazine named Alter Analog https://www.alter-analog.com that focuses on works and artists pushing the boundaries of what analaog photography can do.

You can also see her work in a current exhibition (at the time of the podcast release) at the Spectra Art Space https://spectraartspace.com in Denver from March 11 for a month.
