SimplTrack3 has 2 Cameras

This PTZ contains a second camera that can be accessed and even used in a production. The main PTZ head camera, and a wide-angle fish-eye lens that is affixed to the side.

The Wide-Angle Camera

The idea of the 2nd camera is to keep track of the subject and all zones setup, while the PTZ camera focuses on capturing the presentation. The wide-angle reference camera covers the whole stage, and will not move.

The PTZ Camera

This is a 1080p/60 camera with a Sony 1/2.8 inch sensor. The camera has a 170 degree movement range, and 20x optical zoom – so you can put the camera up to 55 feet away and still zoom in on a subject.

Connect the camera to HDMI, SDI, USB, or through NDI|HX to a device that can stream out. Onboard micro SD card allows for recording right from the device.

You can use this without AI tracking by changing a setting in the camera.

Setting Tracking Zones with HuddleCamHD Software

Once you’ve installed the software, you can connect the camera via USB cable or through the NDI network for control. This software can connect to multiple SimplTrack cameras for easier setup.

3 Types of Zones

Start with setting up the main tracking zone (green box). This is where the camera will limit movement to. The No Go (Red) tracking zones will stop the camera from wandering, and the Auto Frame Zones (blue) will be set within the main tracking zone.

What the Auto Frame Zones Do

If you have a whiteboard, or a place where you want the camera to focus and lock on, the Auto Frame Zone will do that. Instead of constantly moving, it will move to the blue box requirements and stay there until you move out of that zone.

This means a whiteboard can be seen by the audience, as it gets the focus, as opposed to the person that’s walking around.
