"Young people will inherit a world that’s been dramatically reshaped by today’s technological advances, and some of them are already playing their own active role in defining the evolution of digital platforms and services that are reshaping the world of their elders" Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Director of ITU's Telecommunication Development Bureau.

Youth around the world are taking an unprecedented role in conversations around politics and the environment. Despite many being below voting age these young people are finding new ways to get their voices heard. This is in no small part to their aptitude and engagement with information communication technologies.
