Ignoring competition and not chasing after feature parity No Progress

Feature parity is not my thing. I've seen enough failed products because of this to have my reasons not to chase after feature parity. Chasing your competitors is also dangerous, since chasing involves you not being #1. You're #2, #3 or even worse. I don't want to compete in anyone's predefined hierarchy and I think many entrepreneurs should try to carve their own hierarchy and create their own game.
