Basic Winter Horse Care Myths Busted (plus some bonus tips)
How do you really keep your equine friend warm? Will they need a blanket? New to horses and horse ownership? Don't worry, don't get lost in a sea of information. I'm here to help with the basics!
The answer with horses is often the same as it is for kids..the answer is IT DEPENDS! Listen to why corn isn't the best winter food, but might not be good at all, why some horses need blankets and some are fine. Why more food doesn't always equal weight gained, and do horses really need to drink that much when it's cold? Learn about some of the alternatives to old myths about horse keeping in the winter, why one size doesn't fit all, and why you shouldn't worry about those horses covered in snow.
