In a place with so many loud opinions flying around, it’s hard to hear every voice-- and sometimes the ones you can’t hear are the most important.
This project will explore those voices, and give them a chance to tell their stories. I’ll speak with experts, activists, and most importantly, the real people who are actually affected, day in day out, by what’s going on in this fascinating country.

Where Can You Make Goat Friends? | Israel Underground #15
Where can you make friends with goats, cows, chickens, pigs and more? In this episode, we discuss the Freedom Farm Sanctuary, an educational and social center and a shelter for animals saved from the food industry. Chickens, cows, goats, pigs and sheep live on the farm, allowing people to get to know their worlds and personalities and develop compassion and empathy for them as well as for people that are different than us. We're joined by Dani, who tells us all about the farm, its (non-human) members, its (human) volunteers and how it fits into the thriving Israeli vegan community.
