    Training dog carer volunteer Jessica Jones joins us talking about her experiences caring for training dog Louise, what the role of a training dog carer is, and how she balances her work at Australian Catholic University with caring for training dogs.

We talk about the new Dog Care Centre upgraded kennels and the improvements to the welfare and care this centre will provide its residents.

    On this episode of the Seeing Eye Dogs Show, Harriet is joined by two guests.

    Dr Ashe Mooney from Seeing Eye Dogs Vet Team joins us talking about World Vet Day which was on April 27, 2024. We talk about the role of a vet, how you can help get the best vet appointment, the challenges of mental health in the industry and the importance of kindness to your vet.

    Casey Hyde puppy carer and volunteer in our kennels joins us talking about volunteering as someone who is legally blind. Casey is a dog guide handler, and talks about how her lived experience and volunteering impact and benefit each other. She shares her experiences of how volunteering can be inclusive, and encourages others to get involved.

Damo also talks about the client training experience and gives some tips new dog guide handlers should listen to.
