The Fiat of Mary and How It Proceeded Salvation through Jesus | Nativity of Mary Podcast | Tambayan sa Seminaryo

Episode Title: The Fiat of Mary and How It Proceeded Salvation through Jesus

    Episode Intro:

Mary’s “Yes” was an important turning point in world history. More than its religious aspects, the fiat was serving the much-awaited Hope that the world has waited for so long since Adam and Eve. Through Mary’s love of God and her indisputable Faith to Him, she was serving the human race with the same faith, hope, and love that generates forth the Gospels. It is in the same Gospels that we have continued to believe in and revered the Way, the Truth, and the Life, who is Christ the Lord.

    Highlight points:

Mary’s Yes as a catalyst of one’s individual faith in Jesus.
The fiat as a procession of salvation promised in the Scriptures
Mary’s affirmation to God’s will as avenue to accepting the Catholic faith

The Glorious Promise of Salvation in Mary’s Assumption to Heaven | Tambayan sa Seminaryo

The Glorious Promise of Salvation in Mary’s Assumption to Heaven | Tambayan sa Seminaryo

    Episode Intro:

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is, by far, one of the most glorious events in Church history. It has defined generations of faith and reverence to the grace of the Almighty God. Through her singular grace of Immaculate Conception, the Lord did not allow the earth to corrupt her most sanctified body but, instead, took her physical and spiritual self into Heaven. More than just being a vessel of salvation, the Blessed Virgin is highly dignified of the singular salvation that only a few of the holy men have received throughout the history of the world.

    Highlight points:

The importance of the Assumption of Mary
The promise behind the singular grace of Mary’s assumption
The essence of the Assumption of Mary to our Christian lives

What Is Living a Simple Christian Life?: Flores de Mayo Culmination Podcast | Tambayan sa Seminaryo

    Episode Intro:

To end our Flores de Mayo celebration, it is time to ask ourselves what it really means to be Christian. It is appropriate now that we measure the simplicity of our Christian living - how we are more inclined to goodness and practice of love than just mere spoken or acted belief. The whole point of having the Flores de Mayo celebration is to recalibrate everyone back to the Christian life that can be practiced by every faithful, even in the simplest of ways yet enveloped with profound love to God and to our brothers and sisters.

    Highlight points:

The importance of living a simple life that is rooted in love

The notion of deep faith in terms of living a Christian life

How can a Christian stay faithful, hopeful, and charitable through the simplest actions?

The Holy Spirit to the Modern World: A Pentecost Sunday Reflection | Tambayan sa Seminaryo

The Holy Spirit to the Modern World: A Pentecost Sunday Reflection | Tambayan sa Seminaryo

    Episode Intro:

Christianity, as we know it, is more than just a way of life. It is a cause that brings us all together as a family, as a community, and as a communion of souls united in the spirit of Love and Mercy, guarded by the virtues of Faith, Hope, and Love. To be a Christian in the modern world is to be a continuum of the early Christians who continue to hold on to faith in Jesus. It is about representing Christ in a world that is driven by materialistic causes, selfish intentions, and insecure notions of the self. Christianity is a guide to Life, to be able to live Life and live it to the fullest of goodness and grace.

    Highlight points:

The essence of Christianity in the lives of the faithful.

The Pentecost for those who haven’t realized Christ in their lives

The Holy Spirit to the Catholics, non-Catholics, and non-believers

The Beginning of the Flowers of May: A Call to Renewal

The Beginning of the Flowers of May: A Call to Renewal

    Episode Intro:

Just like the season of Spring, the Catholic Church is always at a point of rejuvenation. This is how the Church survived two thousand years of faith. It is in the constant adoption of the ancient mysticism that the rituals of the Church perpetuate. Also, the month is dedicated to the Mother of God simply because she is the point of origin of the Catholic faith.

    Highlight points:

The reason why we celebrate the Flowers of May in honor of the Mother of God

The Call to Renewal on the Faith of every Christian

An Invitation to Joining the Month-long Celebration through virtual catechism

Trust in Jesus: The Divine Mercy Sunday and the Modern Generation | Tambayan sa Seminaryo

Trust in Jesus: The Divine Mercy Sunday and the Modern Generation | Tambayan sa Seminaryo

In light of the modern-day Catholic Christian teachings, beliefs, and practices, what is the relevance of the devotion to the faithful’s everyday life? What does it entail to trust Jesus amidst all the doubts and worries hurled to us by the trends of the modern world? How is the devotion of Divine Mercy a helpful guide to our faith, hope, and love in the Lord?

As we move towards the greatest obstacle of our generation, we need to be more receptive to the grace of God’s Divine Mercy. With all the hardships, we are truly grateful to have a God who doesn’t weigh much on our actions but our openness to His constant mercy and forgiveness. Our daily lives have been utterly demanding especially now that we need to work harder to survive the current pandemic and all other life challenges. Yet, Jesus is always there to remind us to trust Him more than we trust ourselves. Our devotion is measured by how much we trust in divine grace and, through the devotion of Divine Mercy, we can deepen it and make it our humble guide to life.

To trust Jesus despite the oppositions of reality we continuously face at every waking moment is to put our will to Him, model our thoughts, words, and actions like His. It is to ultimately submit ourselves to His divine love and mercy more so when we fail to fulfill our Christian duties. Our world today is calling more on loving oneself, yet it has disregarded the core value of loving God above everything else as well as loving our brethren. To submit in Divine Mercy and to trust in Jesus is to fulfill our Christian mission in loving God above everything else and loving others as much as the self.

My dear friends, the institution of the Sunday of Mercy on the eighth day of the Easter Octave is linked to the Resurrection and how this momentous event in Christian history procures the devotion of Mercy and Love of God towards His beloved creation, who is now His children. It is on this devotion that the Lord shrouds us in His fatherly love, envelops us in the protection of Mercy and Compassion regardless of our sins, and His plea to conversion, to constant belief in His presence, His affection, and, ultimately, His love for all of us. Divine Mercy is the link to the theological virtues and the Way where we can all see God at the end of our lives.

May we all, today, confidently profess to His Divine Mercy by saying, “Jesus, I trust in You”
