Episode Notes: Greg Peterson was named Director of Athletics on January 27, 2021. He officially took the position on June 1, 2021 following the retirement of Bob Bjorklund. 

Petie has worked full time at Bethel for the last 23 years. He came on as the Royals sports information director and an assistant men's basketball coach in 1997. His promotion to assistant athletic director in 2005 included the responsibilities of facility management for both Royal Stadium and the Robertson Center, overseeing all aspects of athletic department transportation, serving as an academic liaison on student-athlete progress, along with various other roles.

COACHING EXCELLENCE
• Spent 29 years on the Bethel football coaching staff
• Had been a part of 350 consecutive Bethel football games as a player and coach, including every game of head coach Steve Johnson's tenure
• 2011 AFCA National Assistant Coach of the Year 


OFF THE FIELD
• Presented multiple times at the MFCA Minnesota Football Clinic and Glazier Clinics
•  Served as Bethel's assistant athletic director from 2005-2021

ROYAL PLAYING CAREER
• Four-year starter on the Bethel offense from 1988-91
• Member of the Bethel basketball team

FAMILY
• Lives in White Bear Lake with wife Alison; two sons Gunnar and Wyatt, and daughter Marin
