Joe Escalante's Weekly dive into the business of showbiz. This week: Joe is joined by Mr. Broadway-Pants (Joe's nephew Kevin) to talk about the 2024 Tony Awards. Also, Joe discusses his frustration at the fact that there is no longer a movie theater in Big Bear, which explaining why he didn't see any movies this week. However, Joe talks about special deals at the movies (AMC, Regal) aiming to reconnect the theaters to a younger audience. And Producer Nicky tells us about her amazing experience jet skiing from Long Beach to Catalina Island.

Joe Escalante's weekly journey into the dark side of the business end of showbiz... This week: Joe welcomes new associate producer Nikki Strubinsky to the show. Also, Netflix is fighting a major lawsuit stemming from the show, Baby Reindeer. The latest numbers from the box office (Joe recommends The Dead Don't Hurt), Irving Azoff is in some legal trouble after booking his own band at his own venue... The problem is that Azoff's band (The Black Keys) weren't good enough to sell out Azoff's venue.

Also, Madonna getting a class action sued for starting shows 4 hours late... Madonna, you're starting to get up in the years, and it's time to go to bed... for everyone...

Joe Escalante's weekly visit to the business end of showbiz... This week: Joe goes deep into the AI wars, with Scarlet Johansson suing the makers of ChatGPT for using a very close likeness of her voice reading their AI stuff. Also, the latest from the box office: Furiosa takes the number 1 spot, and Joe could not be happier! 
Something that Joe does not like is the idea of a movie based on the super-private, ultra-secret Club 33 at Disneyland. He's just miffed because he's a member, and what's the point of a secret, members-only club if everyone knows about it???
