In this episode we talk to Dr Stephanie Vella, who is currently the National Hub for Malta on the WestMED initiative bringing stakeholders together for the development of maritime related projects. She is also an ambassador of the MEDBAN project.

We talk to Stephanie about the WestMED initiative and how to overcome the key issues and challenges the Blue Economy is facing in the Mediterranean.

Tomas Ambra is Technical Director at Inlecom and the project coordinator of the newly launched FOREMAST project, where Magellan Circle is leading the communication. We speak to Tomas about FOREMAST and how it can facilitate the movement of goods in urban and coastal areas.

Dr Antri Theodorou is Senior Scientist at Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute with a PHD in the sector of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Sciences, at the University of Manchester. She is also an ambassador of MEDBAN - Mediterranean Blue Acceleration Network project. Antri shares her thoughts and experience on the Blue Economy in the Mediterranean.

Tassos Kyriakides is Assistant Professor at the School of Public Health at Yale University. Last December 2023, Yale held the 5th International Symposium on Olive Oil and Health in Portugal. We speak with Tassos about the history of the school, one of the oldest of this kind and the future of the Mediterranean diet.

In our first podcast of 2024 we speak to Eva Killar, Head of Mobility Development and Investments Department at the Ministry of Climate of Estonia.



Eva is also project coordinator of our new eFTI4EU project (to tag), aimed to digitalise freight transport with the well-harmonised and interoperable European-wide eFTI (Electronic Freight Transport Information) exchange environment.
