This is one part of the process that I've found profoundly helpful and given me a sense of peace and groundedness. I share them here with you to encourage you to process your overwhelming feelings and uncover the messages they are trying to deliver. Feelings are fine. We can even learn from them. S4-E1 - My 4-yo HATES "girl stuff" - will he look down on women?
This mom is concerned that her 4 year old will look down on feminine things and women in general because of his loud clear dislike of "girl things" now at 4. In this episode we explore what is typical development for a 4 year old and and helpful ways to ensure self advocacy, tolerance for different preferences, an expansion of nuance and perspective as this kiddo gets older. As per usual, it starts with us, the grown ups in his life and requires calm confident leadership and modeling.
