Healing from Grief and Trauma Due to Losing Your Child with Megan Hillukka

Losing a baby — either during pregnancy or after birth — is one of the most profoundly painful experiences a parent will ever endure. Yet these experiences are more common than most of us realize.
Megan Hillukka understands this  because she has been there.
The sudden, unexpected passing of her daughter, Aria, shattered Megan’s world. The grief was overwhelming. Megan had a decision to make: Quit living life or find healing so that she could love life again. She chose to find healing.
Now as a grief coach and homeschool mom to five, Megan is on a mission to help other grieving moms find relief from their grief so that they can thrive again.
Megan’s story is one of resilience, strength, and healing. She shows it’s possible to find healing following a child’s death, and that it is possible to go on to live a happy, healthy life.

As moms and Homeschool CEOs, we do a lot of things for a lot of people. It can be easy to forget to set aside time for ourselves too to the point that we forget who we are.
That's exactly what happened to Katrina Ball. That is, until she decided to do something about it.
Katrina is a homeschool mom of two, founder of the Mother Yourself program, and a mindset mentor and life strategist for mom entrepreneurs and business professionals. She's on the podcast today to share with us the story of how she lost herself in the process of being a wife and mom.
She also shares how her experience with a life coach inspired her to become one herself and how she's now helping other moms shift their mindset, prioritize themselves, and become self-fulfilled while raising a happy, healthy family.
Learn how you can shift your mindset and find a more fulfilling life, without sacrificing yourself or your family in the process.

Chronic Illness, Homeschooling, and Entrepreneurship: Finding Success with Rhythm, Routines, and Harmony with Ally Adair-Chung

Is it possible to homeschool and build a successful business if your life includes chronic illness?
Ally Adair-Chung says "absolutely" and she's on the podcast today to tell us how she has made it happen.
Ally is a second generation homeschooler, homeschooling coach, curriculum development junkie, and mother to three wonderful wildlings. Ally also deals with chronic illness. It started in childhood and it has affected every part of her life, from motherhood to business to homeschooling.
Rather than let chronic illness prevent her from chasing her dreams of entrepreneurship and homeschooling, Ally set out to figure out HOW to make it all work. She discovered that the key to finding success was putting simple rhythms in place in her home, homeschooling, and business. Now she is on a mission to help everyone find peace and harmony in their homeschooling rhythm.
Whether you or someone you know is dealing with chronic illness (either a parent’s chronic illness or a child’s), this episode is sure to encourage and inspire.

Playing to Win: Going All In with Business with Tonisha Stalnaker

Playing to Win: Going All In with Business with Tonisha Stalnaker

Are you 100% in when it comes to building your business? How do you know if you’re all in or maybe still holding something back?
Tonisha Stalnaker admits that she wasn't all in with her business when she started it in 2020. While she was doing her job well as a VA, she never really put that much effort into goal setting, marketing, pricing, niching, or creating strategies to grow her business. She's changing all that this year though.
Tonisha is the CEO behind Stalnaker Virtual Solutions, proud wife to a police officer, mom to a 25-year-old, and a "bonus" mom to her 10-year-old stepdaughter, who she started homeschooling last year.
Tonisha is on the podcast today to tell us the story of why she started her business, what it was like running it while homeschooling for the first time during the pandemic, the pivotal moment that inspired her to finally decide to go all in with her business this year, and how she plans on doing that.
If you need some inspiration to go all in with your business, today’s episode will inspire you to uplevel your business and life.

Protecting Your Brand with a Registered Trademark with Kailey Jacomet

Protecting Your Brand with a Registered Trademark with Kailey Jacomet

In this episode, we're celebrating two things - 1) the Homeschool CEO Podcast is now on its one year anniversary and 2) Homeschool CEO is now a registered trademark!
It is because of these two things that I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to talk about the importance of protecting one's brand, specifically by registering for a trademark. I invited my own attorney, Kailey Jacomet, on the podcast today to help us unravel the mystery behind the trademark law.
Kailey is a wife, mom of two, business attorney, and owner of the law firm, Brand Law Boutique, where she helps entrepreneurs protect their most valuable business asset, their brand. She talks to us about what a trademark is, the benefits of registering for one for your business, and the most important aspects you need to consider when filing.
Kailey says, "If you love your business name, then put a ring on it." If you're ready to do just that, this episode is for you.
